This Newsletter Subscription Clarification Text has been prepared by T&T Partners Law Firm ("T&T Partners") to inform you, our valued visitors who wish to subscribe to our newsletter via our website, about the processing of your personal data in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), and other applicable legislation.

Purpose, Scope, and Transfer of Personal Data

Through the subscription form on our website, or during communication via email, phone, or other means, we may collect your name, surname, contact details, company name, industry, job title, and IP address. These data are processed by T&T Partners, either physically or electronically, upon your explicit consent.

Your personal data are processed for the following purposes:

  • Sending legal publications and newsletters,
  • Providing announcements on legal developments,
  • Informing you about T&T Partners' events and training programs,
  • Managing client relations.

In order to fulfill these purposes, newsletters and announcements are sent to the email address you provided during subscription. As our email system is hosted on Microsoft Outlook servers located abroad, your personal data may be stored on servers outside the country.

Additionally, your data may be accessed by third-party service providers we work with for the purposes of IT support, ensuring data security, and customer relationship management.

Apart from the aforementioned cases, T&T Partners does not share your personal data with any third parties in any form or manner.

Data Retention and Security

T&T Partners ensures the accuracy and up-to-dateness of your personal data and stores them with appropriate technical and administrative security measures. When the purpose of processing no longer exists, or the legal retention period has expired, your personal data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized, either ex officio or upon your request.

If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, and no other legal obligation requires retention, your personal data will be erased.

Your Rights as a Data Subject

Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:

  • Learn whether your personal data are being processed,
  • Request information regarding such processing,
  • Learn the purpose of the processing and whether it is being used accordingly,
  • Know the third parties to whom your data have been transferred, domestically or abroad,
  • Request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete data,
  • Request the deletion or anonymization of your personal data if the reasons for processing are no longer valid and there is no legal basis to retain them,
  • Request that these corrections or deletions be notified to third parties to whom your data were transferred,
  • Object to any outcome against you resulting from automated processing,
  • Request compensation for damages arising from unlawful data processing.

Under Section 3 of the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Obtain information about the processing of your personal data,
  • Access your personal data and related processing activities,
  • Request rectification of inaccurate data,
  • Request erasure of personal data ("right to be forgotten"),
  • Restrict the processing of your personal data,
  • Be informed of rectification, erasure, or restriction actions taken in relation to third parties,
  • Request the transfer of your personal data to another data controller,
  • Object to processing,
  • Not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produces legal effects concerning you or significantly affects you.

You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

To exercise your rights, you may submit your request in writing, including the completed version of the application form available in the annex of our Personal Data Protection Policy, along with information to verify your identity, through one of the following channels:
